After graduating from university in 1981 as a naval architect I spent 20 years in naval ship design. In 2001 to 2004 I headed the Hamburg Ship Model Basin (HSVA) as managing director before I founded DW-ShipConsult in Germany (now JASCO-ShipConsult), a consulting firm for ship and underwater acoustics, now part of JASCO Applied Sciences Europe GmbH. JASCO-ShipConsult works around the world in demanding projects for shipyards, ship owners and operators, suppliers, agencies and navies.
